Brian Witkin & Kamaka Mullen

Island Music

Slack Key ‘Ohana is an award-winning Southern California family trio blending island music, slack key guitar, singalong harmonies, and warm acoustic roots. Centered around Brian Witkin, his mother Carol Witkin, and his father Joe Witkin — a founding member of Sha Na Na who performed at Woodstock — the band brings the spirit of ʻohana to every recording and performance. Their music has earned two World Entertainment Awards, two San Diego Music Awards, two Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award nominations, and multiple No. 1 iTunes World Music chart debuts. Their upcoming album, The ʻOhana Sessions, highlights the trio at its core: three family members playing and singing together with a stripped-down, joyful, and deeply connected sound.
